Actress Michelle Trachtenberg, known for her role in the series "Gossip Girl", was found dead in her apartment in New York this Wednesday.
The 39-year-old actress's body was found by her mother at 8:00 am local time, according to ABC News .
The same source reports that Michelle recently underwent a liver transplant and that her death may be related to complications after the surgery.
So far, there are no suspicions of foul play. In addition to her portrayal of the villain Georgina Parks in the series "Gossip Girl", Michelle also became known for her participation in "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer".
